Synopsis

A gang of children lives and survives deep in the woods according to their own set of grim rules, intent on uncovering the secret of the Wildman.

When a newcomer among them draws the lot of having to find the beast, he must go into the woods alone and bring back a lock of the creature's hair before the others find him.

Unfamiliar with the woods, the boy becomes lost and has to rely on plants that have come to life and a mysterious strand of hair to guide him. When he reaches the Wildman, it soon becomes obvious that the beast urgently needs his help.
